Congratulations to all of our excellent Santan Storm players who represented Santan Elementary at the Governor's Cup on April 24th and 25th. You made all of your parents proud and this coach proud!
WE NOW HAVE A NEW TROPHY FOR THE SCHOOL TO DISPLAY AS WELL - TIME TO GET ANOTHER DISPLAY CASE! : P Our K-3 team took 10th place team and it all came down to an extremely hard fought last round. Congratulations to every member of our chess club - you helped our tournament team earn this trophy by being such good sparring partners for them during each and every single chess club meeting! The K-3 section in the Governor's Cup had 242 players in it while we only had six of those represent Santan. Well done - Congratulations!

I am really impressed with how all of our players did - their sportsmanship, their conduct during games and the way they each handled the competitive stress of this event. This was a big event for all of our players and I look forward to helping each of them to enjoy and perform even better at future chess events.
